Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to
join our dynamic Media & Entertainment (M&E) practice. This
role offers an exceptional opportunity to leverage your deep
accounting expertise within the M&E industry, contribute to
practice growth, and make a significant impact on our clients'
success. As a Senior Manager, you will be a key engagement leader,
providing insightful solutions to complex accounting challenges and
fostering strong client relationships.
Required Experience/Skills:
Ultimate Revenue: Drive accurate and strategic revenue recognition
for M&E clients.
Capitalization of Production Costs: Provide expert guidance on the
capitalization and amortization of film and movie production
costs.
ASC 926 Exposure: Apply direct and in-depth knowledge of ASC 926
(Entertainment-Film ONLY ) to client engagements.
Responsibilities:
Resolve complex M&E accounting issues (capitalization, revenue,
valuation) with minimal partner involvement.
Apply GAAP, SEC regulations, and industry knowledge to advance the
M&E practice's technical skills.
Create and lead M&E-focused training programs for firm-wide
growth.
Manage all aspects of client engagements and projects for M&E
clients.
Lead client relationships and ensure excellent client service and
communication.
Drive billable hours and deliver exceptional written
communication.
Ensure optimal staffing and utilization within the M&E
practice.
Generate leads and secure new M&E clients, contributing to
practice growth.
Identify and develop opportunities with existing M&E
clients.
Cultivate a strong network of M&E industry contacts.
Enhance firm brand through active industry participation.
Participate in recruiting by interviewing and referring
candidates.
Ensure compliance with firm policies, including timesheets,
invoicing, and collections.
Mentor professionals and foster their development.
Lead by example, promoting strong ethics and teamwork.
Drive firm growth through the development and leadership of
initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, or Commerce plus 8 years of experience in
Accounting. (Employer will accept a 3-year foreign degree as
equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.)
Alternatively, a Master's Degree or equivalent in Finance,
Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce plus 8 years of
experience in Accounting.
Must Have:
CPA certification
Professional experience with US GAAP and SEC reporting
regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
International accounting experience.
Experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm.
Mastery of mentoring, speaking, presenting, training, and writing
skills.
