Our client is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support month-end financial processes and maintain accurate accounting records across the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure financial integrity and provide critical reporting support for our group entities. Key Responsibilities: Execute month-end and year-end financial close processes in compliance with US GAAP, Canadian GAAP, and IFRS Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations Record bi-weekly payroll and associated accrual entries Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per Group reporting requirements Support external audit and tax return preparation Assist with HST/GST, Sales & Use Tax, and Fuel Tax filings Perform additional accounting duties as assigned Qualifications: 3 years accounting experience in manufacturing, preferably biofuel or oil & gas industry Bachelor's in accounting Comprehensive understanding of: General ledger accounting in production environments Production cost accounting Inventory management Cost of Goods Sold Asset capitalization Revenue recognition Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ERP systems experience, particularly Microsoft GP Exceptional attention to detail and communication abilities
