Job Description:
Regulatory A Regulatory Affairs expert is needed for effective
integration of the recently acquired Energy Drinks Brand. This
person will complete reviews and approvals of ingredients,
formulations, labels and artwork to ensure compliance with all
applicable FDA regulations. Most urgently there will be artwork
redesign across the portfolio in the back half of 2020 where
assessment of all technical label content, claims and associated
website changes will be completed. This will be followed end of
2020 and throughout 2021 with work to support the reformulation of
existing products, new innovation as well as integration of Client
into our Product Vision System and with our Bottlers. The request
is for an 18 month contract to complete this work. The position
will require excellent understanding and application of US FDA and
USDA regulations to ensure the ultimate accuracy of finished
product ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen
declarations and claims. They must be able to monitor, interpret
and ensure compliance with US regulations today and into the
future. Ideally, the incumbent has experience in working with
R&D's ProductVision (PV) and artwork systems. Qualifications: •
BS Degree in Food Science, Regulatory, Nutrition, or equivalent as
minimum • Corporate or government regulatory experience in US FDA
and USDA food labeling and solid background in nutrition related
field with strong collaboration and communication skills • Minimum
of 3 years food regulation experience, global regulatory experience
is a bonus. • Detail oriented; adaptable; with ability to work
independently desired • Excellent computer skills and existing
knowledge of Product Vision System highly preferred (Wave, WINLIMS,
Microsoft Office experience preferred). Must be quick to learn new
systems. • Project management, communication with on-sight project
management team and direct communication with vendor regulatory
teams is required to validate accuracy of information before
population into the system. Strong technical regulatory background
is essential to success.
