Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new customers using all reasonable methods,
primarily making in-person calls to businesses outside the
dealership
- Assist customers with selection and ordering of vehicles,
obtaining accurate and complete financial data, securing deposits,
preparing the processing sales orders, and closing deals
- Prepare purchaser statements
- Deliver vehicles, explaining warranty and service policies
- Attend trade shows & factory-sponsored regional and national
training as required
- Successfully complete the certification process as provided by
vehicle manufacturers
- Achieve and maintain full knowledge of vehicle specs,
performance, and application
- Appraise vehicles when necessary
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local
regulations related to industry sales
- Provide ongoing and follow-up service to existing
customers
- When in the office, offer services to all walk-in and call-in
customersBus Salesperson Qualifications:Successful candidates will
be or possess:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated success prospecting, relationship building, and
selling (bus experience not required)
- Effective listening, as well as, verbal, written and
interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness/ability to complete certification process(es)
provided by vehicle manufacturers, and travel as needed to attend
training and trade shows
- Diligent & Persistent, yet able to respond appropriately to
rejection
- Ability to think things through and make appropriate
decisions
- Professional in both appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license in good standing. CDL not required upon
hire, but is a requirement for continued employment. Some
assistance in obtaining a CDL will be provided to the right
candidate.
- Ability to work effectively in Word, Excel and OutlookPreferred
candidates will also be or possess:
- Bus sales experience
- Mechanically minded and able to effectively communicate
technical information
