Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Lead to join our team at our Newark, NJ Fulfillment Center. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the small maintenance team and ensuring all maintenance tasks are executed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This includes overseeing machine and system maintenance, facility maintenance, and any improvement or restoration projects. As the Senior Maintenance Lead, you will be the first responder to daily emergencies and coordinate with a rapid response team to attend to equipment that needs repair. You will also ensure equipment receives preventative care as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling any documentation related to work tasks performed by yourself or your team according to the internally defined procedures. You will also be taking responsibility for fine-tuning the current procedures to achieve the best process fitting in the culture of the company. Key responsibilities of this role include

  • Reviewing and executing all maintenance tickets and requests, managing and assigning tasks to the team, and communicating statuses and ETA's to the site lead and respective departments. You will also
    • You will also work closely with the safety team to eliminate any safety hazards in order to provide a safe work environment.
      • Perform internal repairs, rebuilds, and minimize dependance on 3rd party service providers and contractors.
      • Manage, build, and maintain relationships with maintenance related contractors and service providers.
      • Keep track of and replenish all spare parts needed for the proper operations of the fulfillment center.
      • Maintain up to date records of all assets within the facility.
      • Maintain the procedures for overall maintenance activities
      • Proactively Identify, evaluate and resolve maintenance issues,through inspection and complaints.
      • Maintain, update, and plan the schedule, including assigning tasks to associates and contractors
      • Manage and improve preventative maintenance program
      • Develop and implement practical production oriented solutions to technical problems and supporting process improvement investigations
      • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with Warehouse policy, procedures and instructions Requirements Who you are:
        • Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in a production environment, specifically within a Maintenance function
        • High School diploma or equivalent, Technical college preferred
        • Self-starter and self-initiated with executing what needs to be done
        • Determined with a can-do attitude.
        • Eager to learn, develop, and improve day over day.
        • Deadline and detail-oriented
        • Familiarity with Google Suite & MS applications (Excel, Word)
        • Ability to read, write, and analyze and interpret common information, reports and other documents
        • Ability to utilize computer-based systems for work orders and shift reports
        • Ability to walk, stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, reach, turn, see and hear to perform duties safely and effectively. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, grasp, handle, feel or maneuver tools and parts
        • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
        • Able to work overtime including weekends/holidays when scheduled
        • Knowledge of Continuous improvement program and tools, Six Sigma / Lean Certification a plus
