The Supply Chain Analyst Support transportation activity related to the carrier performance of Retail/Indirect/Consumer channel orders shipping from our outsourced Distribution Centres. Responsible for claims reduction, enhancing customer experience order success, and reducing carrier's time in transit. Analyze and identify opportunities that improve carrier performance to elevate overall customer experience. Analyze and identify operational and cost savings opportunities related to shipping processes and transportation. Support various SCM projects related to distribution and transportation. Act as liaison between VZ and transportation carriers, tracking/monitoring and reporting on all Retail/Indirect/Consumer channel shipments.

• Developing and maintaining accurate weekly and monthly reporting of carrier performance, which include on-time service metrics & loss / damage trends.
• Synthesizing large-scale data sets from multiple sources.
• Tracking, monitoring, and reading-out transportation carrier loss / damage percentages and dollars.
• Leading ongoing conversations with carrier partners to report current performance and highlight areas of opportunity.
• Partnering with internal Verizon teams (i.e. Corporate Security, Fraud, Retail Operations, DC Operations, etc.) on various initiatives to reduce overall loss amount.
• Partnering with internal Verizon IT teams to ensure accurate reporting of data, as well as identify & spearhead process improvement opportunities.
• Identifying carrier services and geographic regions in which carrier performance does not meet expectations; provide recommendations that improves overall customer experience.
• Managing transportation carriers daily to ensure all contractual service levels are met.
• Analyzing and leading implementation of operational improvement processes.
• Developing new transportation reports to align with continually changing business directives upon approval and need,
• Visiting Distribution Centres to observe processes and identify opportunities for business efficiencies.Where you'll be working...
  
  In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.What we're looking for... You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in transportation.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
    • Master's degree in Supply Chain, IE.
    • Experience in small parcel transportation.
    • Ability to lead projects and handle multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.
    • Ability to embrace change and adapt to current business needs.
    • Strong computer skills, including all MS Office products Net Ace, SAP, Qlik, ITTS and inventory systems.
    • Strong analytical background in creating and analyzing reporting trends and performance.
    • Ability to identify errors in reporting received from other departments.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and follow up skills.
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
    • Strong customer service skills with internal customers.
    • Ability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
