Our company is filled with smart and innovative thinkers and doers, and we never stop striving to improve our technology, to expand and improve our company performance, and to develop and support the many talented employees that serve our mission!We are looking for a Repair and Overhaul Senior Manager, Production Scheduling and Inventory Control to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. - This role will report to the Head of R&O Manufacturing, Programs & Production Planning, and based in Newark, DE.Additional comments: This is a new role on our growing Services team. - As part of the Delaware Leadership Team you will be responsible for manufacturing Production Scheduling and Systems Integration using lean principles to meet the dramatic business growth in volume and product diversity.Responsibilities include Production Scheduling, Inventory Management, and driving transaction discipline in the ERP system. This position will lead the deployment of feasible and proactive production scheduling and materials planning techniques that will maximize material availability and optimize the use of resources while reducing inventory investments.We are looking for a candidate with very strong managerial and communication skills. - The ability to act fast and communicate effectively with plant and senior management is a prerequisite.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and improve processes to scale volume of production 2x in the next year and 10x over the next 5 years.
  • Achieve the manufacturing SIOP Plan in coordination with Production Control to meet the Business requirements
  • Own the creation of a production plan that is well coordinated across all production teams, feasible from a supply chain parts availability standpoint, and consistent with executive expectations
  • Monitor performance to plan, identify process improvements to support company goals which meet or exceed the key KPIs, escalate / resolve critical issues, and work with Plant to ensure all functions are prepared to support the plan
  • Build cross-functional teams made up of Production, Supply Chain and Logistics to improve material planning and inventory control
  • Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.
  • Work closely with New Product program management team and engineering to ensure manufacturing readiness for new product production ramps
  • Develop metrics that ensure teams stay on track and meet production deliverables
  • Hire, Develop, and Train an expanding Production Scheduling and Inventory Control staff to support volume ramp up and continued product launches
  • Create policies and processes for receiving, material handling, location management and work order management
  • Establish a warehouse inventory management strategy to ensure timely material availability and supply while reducing the required footprint and inventory holding costs
  • Identify opportunities to leverage ERP functionality. Review & control planning parameters in the ERP system to ensure proper work order execution
  • Responsible to establish and communicate the production schedules to the Manufacturing organization and provide updates on material availabilityEducation and Experience:
    • Bachelor degree required
    • 10+ years working in complex assembly or advanced manufacturing environment
    • Experience working in multi-product manufacturing environment
    • Ability to think and act strategically: Strong analytical skills and business acumen required.
    • Achieve Results on a Consistent Basis: Demonstrated ability to achieve results in multiple industries and/or companies.
    • Ability to lead cross functional teams to consensus decisions.
    • Discover how to digitally transform operations to achieve flexible and scalable manufacturing throughout the Delaware Assembly process
    • Experience working in multi-product manufacturing environment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to positively interact with Executives, business managers, and employees
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Experience working with Production organizations, and working collaboratively with Manufacturing engineering
    • Demonstrated success in a dynamic, frequently changing, and geographically dispersed work environment
    • Must be a creative thinker and have a vision of how to raise process maturity to the next level.
    • Practical and advanced understanding of Production Planning
