Summary ImprimisRx---s Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians
assist in the overall pharmacy operations under the guidance of the
Pharmacists-In-Charge. This position will work with a team of
dedicated staff who compound and dispense prescribed medications in
accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Position Type
and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position in a
compounding pharmacy with regular operations occurring between M-F
between the hours of 2:00-10:30 pm. Working hours may vary anywhere
from several hours before opening to several hours after closing.
Additionally, weekend hours may be needed depending upon workload
demands. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during
inclement weather may be required. This position requires
completion of on-the-job training for a 3-4 month period. Training
Shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM 2nd Shift: 2:00PM - 10:30PM Responsibilities
--- Perform mathematical calculations to determine appropriate drug
measurements in order to compound ordered medications --- Assist
with the dispensing of prescriptions --- Conduct routine medication
inventories including monitoring for drug expirations dates and
assist with inventory control of medications --- Assist in ordering
supplies and medications --- Maintain any necessary QA logs,
including but not limited to, cleaning, temperature, waste and
expired and destroyed medications --- Comply with the pharmacy
incident reporting policy --- Assist in compounding sterile
preparations and dispensing prescription medication in compliance
with state and federal laws, as well as the pharmacy---s standard
operation procedures --- Must have the ability to lift/push/pull
greater than 50 pounds. --- Check all orders received in the system
and ensure orders are processed timely and accurately --- Adhere to
all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of sterile
compounds --- Understand the Pharmaceutical Industry---s code of
Practice --- Comply with all state-specific legislations and
regulatory requirements --- Maintain professional and technical
knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing
professional publications and attending all pharmacy-mandated
training --- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas ---
Establish and maintain strong, positive, productive relationships
with technicians, purchasing agents and/or allied health staff ---
Excellent organization and time-management skills required. Must be
able to manage heavy workload and aggressive timelines in a timely
manner, prioritize and work under pressure --- Assist in collecting
information of Quality related events and organize for quarterly
meetings --- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and
summarizing information and trends including failed processes,
quality studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
--- Assist QA personnel in reviewing current policies and improvise
plans to improve upon the existing quality standard. --- Perform
duties in accordance with established company procedures and
policies --- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications --- High School Diploma or equivalent work and
education in a related field, required --- 2 years of experience
working as a sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician --- Pharmacy
Technician License --- Working knowledge of all applicable State
and Federal laws and regulations regarding pharmaceuticals ---
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of
confidentiality --- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
while demonstrating excellent time management and organization
skills --- Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office
software products, including Excel, Outlook, Word --- Strong
organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize ---
