Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) is a publicly traded (NYSE:PEG) diversified energy company headquartered in New Jersey, and one of the ten largest electric companies in the U.S. PSEG is seeking a Business Intern within the Projects and Construction team at our Newark NJ location. The successful candidate will perform functions in support of a number of areas including but not limited to: Project cost controls, project authorization and closeout documentation, project performance reporting and analysis including SAP cost reporting, Work Breakdown Structure development, variance analysis, project performance benchmarking, accrual management and project risk analysis, all in support of large scale transmission line and substation construction projects. Beyond technical skill development, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop business soft skills through seminars during the summer. Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor s Degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Business, Econ, or similar related major with a minimum GPA of 3.0 Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration. Because this position will be travelling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver s license and a safe driving record is required. All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students with GPA of 3.0, staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, immigration Support will not be provided in association with these positions. As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
