The Position
We are seeking a Casualty & Specialty Underwriting Intern to join us in our Morristown, NJ office for our summer internship program. During the 8-week program you will receive hands on training with the Underwriting team from initial sourcing of a deal, analysis, underwriting decision making, actuarial pricing, and negotiations. - - - -An Underwriting Internship with Arch Reinsurance will give you tangible real-world experience in all areas of casualty underwriting.
Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• Interns will be provided with educational resources, exposure to all aspects of Casualty & Specialty underwriting (including claims, actuarial, finance, contracts), broker networking, and team building opportunities
  
• Extensive hands-on training with Underwriting team from initial sourcing of a deal, analysis, underwriting decision making, actuarial pricing, and negotiations. Ability to work on live deals, and cross functional teams.
  
• Learn the ins and outs of our underwriting systems, processes, and account set up in addition to key fundamentals of General liability, Auto liability, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, Environmental, and Specialty business.
  
• Assist team by performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of Casualty & Specialty underwriting while providing research and information to the team
  
• Demonstrate ability to achieve results by setting goals, prioritizing tasks and staying accountable to stakeholders
  
• Partner with other interns on any group/ team activities- end of program capstone project
