KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) offers a new geotechnical opportunity for a motivated individual. We are seeking a Geotechnical Field Inspector, with at least 1 to 3 years of experience performing geotechnical field inspections to provide support in our Newark, NJ office. -This is a temporary position for a specific project in Newark New Jersey. - Duties of the Geotechnical Field Inspector will be to complete geotechnical tasks independently and collaboratively. Must be very familiar with geotechnical field investigations, having some understanding of pavements and design. Duties will primarily include completing geotechnical field investigations; and when not performing field investigations perform geotechnical technical analyses, preparing reports in the office. - Some general familiarity with agency standards and protocols including: PANYNJ is a plus. Perform geotechnical filed investigations.Perform geotechnical field investigations, explorations, geologic reconnaissance, and mapping.Assist in performing geotechnical boring logs, and spreadsheets.Assist in preparing geotechnical reports.Field work including investigations, data collection, and observation of soil borings.Field work generally within Newark, New Jersey.Required Skills & Required Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience as a Geotechnical Field Inspector. Previous internship experience a plus.Experience with GINT a plus.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Proficiency in MS Office software a plus.Ability and willingness to travel as necessary.Field work generally Newark, New Jersey.Use of personal vehicle for travel a plus.
