Overview
Role: The Data Coordinator reports to the Data Management Director
and will play a critical role in supporting the Performance Team's
efforts to design, build, implement and maintain data systems to
ensure that BRICK Education Network and its affiliates are able to
effectively evaluate its work and use findings to drive improvement
and increase impact.

Success in this role will be measured by staff satisfaction with
the maintenance and management of PowerSchool and related
applications; as well as the ease of use, accuracy and timeliness
of data requests from different stakeholder groups.
Essential Functions
The primary function of this role will be to serve as the point
person for all requests/questions related to school data and
related systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
Data & Systems Maintenance and Management
---Serve as the resident expert for School Databases/applications
(i.e., Avela, PowerSchool, PowerEnrollment, NJEdPlan Easy IEP)
---Work in conjunction with the Data Management Director to create
and implement
---procedures & guidebooks for data security/compliance, data
entry, validation and cleansing to enable schools and Network staff
to properly input data and maintain student information.
---Evaluate data /databases and perform data- cleansing operations
(as required)
---Provide user support and training to School Administrators in
the use of PowerSchool and related applications
---Identify opportunities for process improvement and make
recommendations accordingly
---Coordinate with internal/external stakeholder to ensure accurate
and timely data collection
---Keep abreast of up-to-date best practices and emerging
technologies
Reporting
---Collaborate with Network stakeholders to develop and maintain a
reporting tempo, and work with Performance Team to iterate reports
(weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually), and develop new
ones.
Qualifications:
---Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, or
related field of study.
---Experience with Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite (with
extensive use of Excel or Google Sheets)
---Experience with PowerSchool/PowerTeacher Pro or other student
information system
---Knowledge of school functions and procedures, with an
understanding of school, district, state and federal reporting
mandates or experience within a K-12 school setting is a plus
---Ability to establish relationships and collaborate with
colleagues, including school-based personnel, community members,
and external stakeholders
---Excellent report writing, analytical and project management
skills, and problem-solving skills; with a good attention to
detail.
---Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral
communication
---Ability to work well independently and within a team
---Current authorization to work in the United States - A candidate
must have such authorization by his or her first day of
employment.
---Reliable transportation.
---An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial
environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced
with unexpected challenges.
Salary, Goals and Employment Period
---Salary Range: Based Upon Experience / Performance Contract
---Employment Period: Twelve Months
