The ideal candidate will have a technical and tactical understanding of customer relationships with prior experience handling established clients. You have solid technical knowledge, good communication and writing skills, and thrive with working independently. Ultimately, the Staff Implementation Specialist is responsible to ensure the right solution and support for our customers.
Collaborate and guide customers through established best-practices to implement software.
Understand customer requirements and translate to software customization and migration plans.
Perform hands-on product customization and migration tasks via remote login, or at customer site.
Provide technical leadership and transfer technical skills and knowledge to client as needed.
Participate in remote meetings with clients to effectively communicate project status.
Establish and manage client and project expectations throughout every engagement.
Perform risk management to minimize possible project impacts.
Ability to work independently as well as in a remote team environment.
Prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently, regardless of timeline variations.
Demonstrate excellent written/documentation skills - technical and non-technical.
Serve as technical focal point for problem determination, analysis, identification, testing, and resolution.
Report and appropriately escalate issues and concerns to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with clients/partners and all stakeholders.
Collaborate with Customer and / or IBM Project Managers to ensure all required milestones are met.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5-years hands-on z/OS Systems Programming experience supporting large-scale z/OS environments required.
Comprehensive understanding of z/OS subsystems required (JES2, TSO. ISPF, etc.)
Comprehensive understanding of Storage (DASD and Tape) hardware and software technologies required.
Comprehensive understanding of SMS, HSM, DFP, DSS, and ISMF required.
Comprehensive understanding of JCL and IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc.) required.
Understanding of SMP/E and demonstrated experience in z/OS software product installation and customization required.
Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pre-sales experience (presentations, demos, conference speaker).
Experience with Job Schedulers (TWS, CA-7, etc.).
Experience with z/OSMF.
