Position Summary:
The School of Applied Engineering and Technology (SAET) of the Newark College of Engineering at NJIT invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The newly formed Engineering Education Unit at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has a position available for a post-doctoral fellow. During this 12-month position, the postdoctoral fellow will participate in data collection and analysis, training and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, preparing manuscripts, presenting at conferences, and grant writing. A portion of time will also be devoted to professional development experiences as identified by the fellow. Candidates nearing graduation are encouraged to apply. A successful candidate for this position requires strong quantitative and qualitative research knowledge and excellent writing skills.

Essential Functions:
- Conduct education research in different aspects of engineering education by performing interview protocol development, survey development, data collection and analysis.
- Prepare manuscripts for submission in peer reviewed journal and present work at conferences.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and manage projects tasks including but not limited to data management, IRB approval, and data collection at sites.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in engineering education, higher education, STEM education, statistics, or other related fields.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
