Senior Research ScientistJob Description:GS-Tek is seeking a
self-motivated, goal oriented and learning toward innovation
scientist to lead product development projects in High Performance
Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC)
separations, and to write proposal to apply for Federal research
grants. This position is based at our facility located in Newark,
Delaware.Key Responsibilities:Develop new chromatographic media for
small molecules separation and purification based on customer
needsIdentify and pursue annual federal funding opportunities such
as SBIR/STTR, NSF,DOE,DOE, with innovations and GS-Tek's
chromatography strengthsWork with customers, sales & marketing team
to explore market opportunities and to propose product development
plansSmall scale synthesis, polymerization and chromatography
analysis with Good Lab Practices including lab safety and
experiment documentationsWrite product brochures and application
notes, present to customersRequired Qualifications:Master degree in
chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry with 5 years of
laboratory/research experiencesHands-on experiences of synthesis
and polymerizations, both inorganic and organic
moleculesFamiliarity with SBIR grants and applications.Working
knowledge of chromatography, both GC and HPLC GC/HPLCKnowledge of
characterization and purification of small moleculesGood skills of
technical writing and presentationsOrganizing, observing,
discovering and analyzingAdapt to a small group working environment
with lead attitude and work independenceLab safety training and
practicesDesired Qualifications:Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry,
Synthetic Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering with up to 2 years of
research laboratory experiences2-5 years working experiences of
chromatography or development of separation mediaStrong organic or
polymer synthesis backgroundWilling to learn and innovateExperience
with silica chemistry and surface modification is
preferredEngineering design and prototyping development is also
preferredExperience to prepare proposal, be awarded and managing
Federal grants to completion is plusExperience of project lifecycle
management from concept, development to product manufacturing and

TechnicianKey Responsibilities:Chromatography instrument services
including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, both in house
and in customer sitesSolution base turn-key analyzer assembling and
test per test standard such ASTM, UOP, EPA, USPChromatography
instrument installation, and customer training at customer
siteSoftware/firmware update, both instrument control and data
acquisitionService manual preparation and documentationsRequired
Qualifications:B.S/B.A. in Chemistry, engineering or biology with
0-3 years of experienceKnowledge of analytical chemistry,
electronics, control or mechanical engineeringWorking knowledge of
windows, offices, web, computer setup and software
installationsGood team player and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate
abilities of quick learn under coachingDemonstrate hand-on skill
and independent work abilityDemonstrate abilities of
troubleshooting and problem solvingAbility to travel both domestic
and internationalGood technical writing skillDesired
Qualifications:M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical,
