Packaging Engineer

Job Description:

Job Summary
The Packaging Engineer designs, procures, and installs packaging lines and other ancillary equipment used in the packaging of Benjamin Moore products.

Responsibilities


  • Create engineering drawings and other documents to support projects
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers to find the right equipment
  • Create project plans
  • Manage and track project execution
  • Manage contractors during the installation phase of the project
  • Stay informed and up to date on industry trends and best practices
  • Gather information pertinent to the project through observations and interviews
  • Inform stakeholders on the status of projects
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment
  • Develop procedures and train personnel on them


    Requirements

    • Must have a bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
    • Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time
    • Must be willing and able to travel within the United States and stay at job sites for weeks at a time
    • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
    • Proficient in the use of Autocad
    • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor a plus
    • Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma concepts a plus
    • Proficient in electronics and PLC programming a plus
    • Prior and recent experience a plus
