Our direct client is seeking an Automation Specialist - Non
Functional Testing for a 12-month contract opportunity at their
Newark, NJ location.
-
Responsibilities:
-
Help set and drive enterprise vision and strategy for
non-functional testing
Research and lead decisions around testing tools, frameworks, and
processes. - -
Lead non-functional testing tool research and development, tool
evaluations and proof of concepts, and help drive the final
decision and approval process for new tooling. - -
Drive implementation of test automation tools and frameworks across
the enterprise. - -
Design and help implement non-functional test automation frameworks
that can be leveraged by multiple teams across the enterprise,
ensuring the frameworks are maintainable, scalable, and meet the
needs of different enterprise use cases.
Ensuring test automation solutions allow for integration with the
company's CI/CD pipelines.
Research and recommend innovative ways to deliver solutions to
complex testing challenges. - -
Drive non-functional test automation solutions that allow agile
teams to work on their own (self-service) to construct and execute
non-functional test coverage within their development sprints. -

Design and deliver training assets to ensure consistent usage of
non-functional testing tools and frameworks across the
enterprise.
Work collaboratively across the company and third-party vendors to
deliver robust, technical solutions that support our customer's
success.
Research latest industry practices and tooling and identify
opportunities to introduce new capabilities or tools that advance
the quality engineering discipline. - -
Identify and implement solutions that support non-functional
testing running with optimized test data and test environments. -

Collaborate with agile teams and members of the QEC to develop
metrics that allow tracking of non-functional test coverage.
Ensure QEC is offering our Business and Technology partners
best-in-class services. - -

Qualifications: -
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent program -
10+ years of experience with Information Technologies -
7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation
-
Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle -
Familiarity and experience working in an Agile environment -
-
Skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive business
outcomes.
Deep understanding of non-functional testing tooling, strategies
-and frameworks.
Expertise in accessibility testing methodology, including
requirements gathering, effort estimation, test planning, test
scripting, test execution and result analysis.
In-depth knowledge on accessibility standards: WCAG 2.1, ADA
Section 508, Aria1.1
Broad knowledge of accessibility barriers as well as the tools and
techniques for overcoming them
Ability to discern accessibility issues from design and code
Knowledge of accepted accessibility patterns and best practices
Ability to analyze and employ problem-solving skills to recommend
the best solution
Ability to analyze code for accessibility issues
Ability to test for aaccessibility on various platforms including
Windows and MacOS, Video and other digital media
Experience with Mobile accessibility on various platforms including
Android and IOS
Experience with Assistive Technology tools such as screen readers,
magnifiers, alternative input, color contrast analyzers, etc.
Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, JQuery and
JavaScript
Familiarity with modern web application development practices and
popular JavaScript frameworks
Deep knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility
issues
Strong analytical skills -
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of the various tiers of the system (Applications,
Infrastructure, and Operating Systems)
Experience driving proof of concept and evaluation of new tools

Technically savvy and able to provide hands-on solutions - -
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as
the candidate will be interfacing with other product teams and
business units -
Experience with automation framework implementation -
Working knowledge of databases and SQL -
Working knowledge of cloud-based solutions similar to AWS -
Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment

Ability to provide thought leadership in the field of QE,
Automation and DevOps -
Experience implementing software testing and test automation in a
scaled agile environment -
