Assistant Scientist GMP Operations

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Assistant Scientist GMP Ops, are to:

• Assist scientists in hands-on operation of processing and packaging equipment under the supervision of Senior level Scientists or Managers;
• Write packaging batch records under the supervision of management;
• Work within a GMP-compliant facility and follow good documentation practices on all GMP documentation;
• Review and provide comments on drafted equipment with Operational Instructions by operating the equipment per the instructions;
• Create yearly metrics on activities in the GMP Area, number of materials received, and number of room cleanings;
• Organize data by type;
• Under the supervision of Tech Transfer Scientists, generate, analyze data and write reports and other tasks/responsibilities as assigned.

  Required qualifications:
  
  
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or International equivalent;
  • Master s degree or international equivalent with proven experience working in Process Development/Scale-up;
  • Ph.D. with postdoctoral work or international equivalent with proven experience in Process Development/Scale-up;
  • Demonstrated organizational skills;
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels within an organization;
  • Ability to work with database and other software including MSOffice.
    
    Preferred qualifications:
    
    
    • Chemical Engineering Internship in related industry;
    • Ability to work hands-on with equipment within a lab.
