Job Description:

Position Summary LaRose Industries LLC d/b/a Cra-Z-Art,, a Stationery, Activities and Arts & Crafts manufacturer located in Randolph, NJ is a seeking a qualified Demand Planner with minimum 3 years demand planning experience.



Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the management, enhancement, and support of demand planning and forecasting systems, tools and reports used in developing operational forecasts and demand plans for use in Sales and Operational Planning.
Manage / Improve current Forecast Database using MS Access
Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of the demand planning function using ERP, Access and Excel.
Manage, analyze, and execute demand forecast and update based on actual sales usage, trends, promotional plans, new product launch projections, and revised sales plan.
Develop and present forecast accuracy and performance reports to identify problems and opportunities and make recommendations for improvements to the demand plan.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to research and understand demand forecast drivers to ensure that current and accurate information is used for the demand forecasts.
Assist and coordinate the cross-functional actions and tasks involved in meeting the necessary timelines to launch or transition new products.
Utilize forecast and historical data to create and run weekly/monthly demand planning needs
Analysis and dissection of complex data and extraction of key information
Interpretation of data to identify and develop trends and their implications
Initiate, develop and undertake analyses or projects to improve inventory metrics
Analyze data to identify trends and suggest strategies to ensure proper inventory levels are achieved to ensure company goals are met - to service the customer
Create effective cross-functional working relationships with all internal departments and individuals: Finance, Logistics, Inventory, Supply Chain, and Sales
Exceptional integrity and honesty. The confidence and tact to communicate effectively and persuasively, with customers, consumers, and all levels of internal staff.
Analyze, update, and monitor the forecast for accuracy using a statistical homebrewed forecast system and communicate changes to appropriate departments. Forecast groups by product category. Evaluate and monitor future orders versus forecast; make forecast changes when needed. Create and maintain product journals. Responsible for an average amount of forecast dollars and/or records.
Independently make decisions to change and update forecasts and derived ratios by comparing future forecast to actual history, and percent of change in demand following standard operating procedures and established guidelines.
Identify out-of-the-norm conditions on any product and communicate to management; make recommendations for a solution
Contribute to the planning of long- and short-term business objectives; actively participate in product review meetings and Sales & Operations Planning (S & OP) meetings as required.

Required Skills

Proficient computer skills, including extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced level MS Excel and Access, including ability to write Macros/SQL/VBA
MRP or ERP system knowledge a must
Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and programming skills.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills required in order to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects and initiatives to meet desired deadlines.
Demonstrate initiative and work in a collaborative team environment to address complex issues.
