solutions.Job Description:Responsibilities:Senior Counsel will be
responsible for general legal matters, including commercial legal
advice and contracts, in support of the Sending Technology
Solutions business of Pitney Bowes, including SaaS software,
hardware and service offerings. The Senior Counsel will work
independently and under the supervision of the Deputy General
Counsel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: working
on general commercial matters for business units; drafting,
reviewing and negotiating complex agreements including software
licenses, technology agreements, web-based terms and conditions,
sales, service and maintenance agreements, leases, non-disclosure
agreements and various other types of agreements; researching and
drafting legal memoranda; communicating and negotiating with
clients and vendors; advising business unit clients regarding legal
matters and potential disputes; working on special projects with
senior management, other members of the Legal Department, and
outside counsel as necessary. This position will be located in the
company's Stamford, Connecticut office.Education and Experience:The
Senior Counsel must hold a law degree from an accredited United
States law school and be a member in good standing of the bar of a
state or the District of Columbia. If not a member of the CT bar,
the Senior Counsel must immediately apply for CT authorized house
counsel status upon hire. The Senior Counsel should have at least 5
years of commercial legal experience, and in house experience is a
plus. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in
negotiation and client management, and experience in
technology/software licensing and web-based offerings. Experience
with government/public sector contracting are a plus. Diverse
