Are you interested in using decision science to improve the educational and career outcomes of tens of thousands of working adults? We are looking for a Senior Associate Decision Scientist to join our team to help drive meaningful outcomes for our students using journey mapping, A/B testing, and other analytical techniques. You'll work closely with our product, marketing, and coaching teams to optimize how each of these teams supports our students and help drive data driven decisions across the business.
    As a Senior Associate Decision Scientist you will:

    Support operating teams across the organization including Marketing, Product, and Student Services to help teams make the best data informed decisions by surfacing insights, conducting ad-hoc analyses, identifying trends, and making strategic recommendations.
    Work with business partners to develop impactful dashboards and data visualizations which highlight trends in current performance as well as areas of improvement.
    Identify, validate, and make use of data from disparate data sources, working with Product and Engineering teams to collect new data while ensuring adherence to best practices.
    Support in the design, development, deployment, and measurement of A/B tests to better understand the impacts of strategic changes across the organization.
    Work cross-functionally with peers to translate business needs into analyses, and use data to provide recommendations. This could include uncovering a problem, identifying data sources to quantify the problem, synthesizing findings and solutions, analyzing the business case and tradeoffs, and managing the implementation of recommendations.

    You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

    1+ years of experience in decision science, data science, analytics or a related technical role in a fast-paced business or start-up environment
    Strong technical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Proven business experience with SQL and BI Tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
    Analytical, intellectually curious, excellent problem-solver who is comfortable working with structured and unstructured data and translating it into strategic recommendations.
    Strong written and oral communication skills - experience synthesizing recommendations and creating effective presentations for all audiences.
    Team player mindset, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
    Passion for our mission - Guild is pioneering a new path for education as a benefit in a complicated and regulated space - success means quickly and effectively adapting your expertise

    Preferred Competencies:

    Analytics and reporting experience in a B2B sales environment
    Demonstrated experience building insightful reporting in Looker
    Experience with an analytical scripting language (Python or R)
