RESPONSIBILITES:
Direct management of Emergency Department Clinical Techs and
ensuring all aspects of the job responsibility are being met
Manage and balance all Clinical tech staffing needs and time off
requests
Maintains and manages all supplies, including ordering, purchasing
in conjunction with the Central Supply department staff.
Accurately report non-formulary supplies and quantity to Director
(ED), and maintain sufficient quantity to ensure availability.
Provide timely and accurate tracking of supplies and utilization
and orders supplies as necessary
Implement Process Improvement to maintain supplies and equipment
throughout the department
Ensures that clinical environment follows all infection control,
Joint Commission and safety standards
Provides direct patient care to support the professional and
emergency department staff to ensure a safe environment for
patients by reducing risk of harm
Identifies clinical tech educational needs and competencies;
provides educational opportunities in collaboration with the
Emergency Department
Educator
Works in conjunction with Emergency Department Educator to ensure
all Clinical techs are competent in skills and training
Maintain supply and storage rooms in a safe, clean, and orderly
condition and delegates to clinical techs accordingly
Responsible for ensuring all environmental concerns are maintained
to all JACHO standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited Associates degree program, Bachelor s
degree preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of hospital experience in an
acute care setting. Minimum of 1 year supervisory management
experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational
ability, nurse management and leadership skills. Demonstrated
clinical expertise in area standards.
