What you'll be doing...
This role is on the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team
aimed at driving sustainable and responsible business practices at
the intersection of economic, environmental, and societal needs
across the entire portfolio of Verizon companies. This position is
for a Program Associate on the Employee Engagement & Volunteerism
team to help drive marketing & communications in achieving
Verizon's commitment to reach 2.5 million hours of volunteer
service by 2025.
This role will focus on supporting communications for the volunteer
program, in close partnership with Verizon internal communications
teams, as well as brand and CSR marketing teams to identify
innovative ways to drive volunteer engagement.
Volunteer Program Marketing & Communications,Measurement of
Communications Efforts & Editorial Content Development, Drive
forward Team Culture responsabilities:
* Develop and execute unique and creative ways to recruit,
highlight and promote volunteerism to Verizon employees.
* Manage and execute monthly Volunteerism communications calendar
in partnership with communications stakeholders. Ensure all
communications are approved by stakeholders (employee, CSR & brand
marketing comms teams).
* Ownership, strategic development, copy writing and delivery of
monthly Volunteerism communications tools, including: volunteerism
newsletter, Leader Toolkits, global emails and amplification across
Verizon social channels (Slack, Inside Verizon).
* Manage volunteer inbox for customer service inquiries and own
agenda & meeting schedule for bi-weekly communications check-ins
with stakeholders.
* Own updating Volunteer website/portal with featured events on a
monthly basis.
* Drive loyalty program milestones and gifting with key
volunteerism Champions throughout the year.
* Deliver incentives and submit grant applications tied to key
volunteerism engagement moments & communication milestones.
* Amplify the volunteerism program externally by providing
administrative support to thought-leadership strategy when needed
(in partnership with PR agencies).
* In partnership with a data andanalytics firm, track all
communications metrics for analysis in a monthly dashboard. Data is
reviewed on a monthly basis to assess wins and opportunities for
future communications.
* Develop after action plans following key communication
milestones.
* Own pulling of any metrics within the Verizon data reporting tool
to ensure we're driving forward communications in a strategic
way.
* In partnership with editorial andPR agencies, manage routing of
volunteer content with stakeholders, publish and distribute content
on the Verizon news center/ internal channels, and measure content
success in partnership with data & analytics firm.
* Own updating weekly wins document to marketing teamleadership and
weekly Volunteer team meeting agenda in partnership with CSR
Director.
* Drive forward strategy and think creatively on how to elevate
team culture, including but not limited to guest speakers,
volunteers events and fun infusion that unite the team in unique
ways.

includes work from home and assigned office days set by your
manager.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
* Bachelor's degree and four or more years of work experience.
* Four or more years of relevant work experience in marketing &
communications.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
* Two or more years of experience working within or closely with an
internal communications team at a large organization.
* Graphic design experience.
* Demonstrated commitment to social responsibility.
* Copywriting skills that can translate to all CSR volunteer
communications (e-mails, web articles, social media).
* Verbal and written communication skills.
* Incredibly detail oriented and comfortable working independently
abilities.
* Project management skills.
* Experience collaborating with different teams cross functionally,
manages multiple, competing priorities and overcomes challenges to
turn around requests in the quickest way possible.
* Experience taking a proactive approach to all projects and is
detail and solution oriented.
