Job Description:

New Jersey MENTOR, a member of the Sevita family, provides services for youth of all ages and their families lead healthy and stables lives. We offer a range of home-and community-based services with individualized therapeutic setting for youth in foster care, at-risk youth or youth involve in the juvenile justice system.
Therapist

This position must comply with the New Jersey Governor's Executive Order No. 283 (EO-283). EO-283 requires that workers in certain health care setting must either (1) obtain the primary series of a COVID-19 vaccination and a booster by specified deadlines or (2) seek and receive approval for a medical or religious exemption. Please ask Talent Acquisition about the applicable deadlines and the exemption process. The company has other roles not subject to EO-283.

• Help guide children we serve to their fullest potential while in the comfort of their homes and ensure the quality of care delivered
• Conduct children and family therapy
• Support the development and implementation of service plans
• Monitor adherence to treatment plans
• Participate in the review and matching of new children served
• Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel from referring/collateral agencies
• Conduct educational sessions for children served, families, and foster parentsQualifications:
  
  
  • Master's Degree in human services field
  • Three years of experience
  • Licensed- New Jersey Issued LSW, LCSW, LAC or LPC
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
  • A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
