Our Role: In PGIM Fixed Income, our technology group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are in middle of a technology transformation to build a new platform on Cloud/AWS from ground up. ideal candidate for this role owns and executes the technology roadmap that is geared around placement and implementation of our investment and distribution data across enterprise data lakes, data warehouse and transactional and NoSQL databases. This person will evolve our new technology architecture and optimize how data and applications accessed globally. At a micro level, this role will be involved with overseeing database and table-level design, platform migrations and working with DBAs on best practice database tuning to optimize query and write performance. This will be a key role in our new technical initiative and will report into Enterprise Architecture. If this sounds interesting, then PGIM could be the place for you. Your Impact: * Conceptualize, design & implement enterprise databases to optimize our global search capabilities. * Drive transformation of legacy platforms to modern cloud native technology platform. * Design and build out new, scalable data lakes, data warehouses and data marts from scratch. * Create new approach to migrate data between various database platforms. * Align with development teams to create database/schema, structures * Influence leaders on long term strategy to optimize data environment. * Ensure that proposed new data and application designs fit within the architectural vision by working closely with Solution Leads Your Required Skills: * 10+ years of demonstrated technology experience implementing large scale data management and exchange projects with at least 7 years of experience as a Data Architect or deep involvement in Applications and Integrations Architecture. * 5+ years proven experience architecting solutions related to distributed applications, monolithic solutions, legacy databases (Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) complemented with large scale data management expertise in platforms like Hadoop. * Thorough understanding of investment management data needs to best service the requirements of our investment & distribution business requirements * Hands-on experience in designing & implementing scalable database platforms to deliver scalable, performant and highly available database solutions * Enterprise architecture experience in collaborating with peers to define and set technology standards globally in line with industry best-practice. * Expert-level SQL data query skills. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other Mathematical field of study. * Prudential Financial, Inc. of the United States is not affiliated with Prudential plc. which is headquartered in the United Kingdom.
