Job Title: Sales Strategy and Planning Consultant (Chief of Staff)

Job Function: This is a Senior Sales Leader's "Right-hand Person" to ensure critical projects, presentations, and metrics are completed on time.

Job Location: This is a work from home position and is pen to most US cities.

Ideal Candidate: A gifted multitasking highly articulate, logical, persuasive person with prior Chief of Staff experience, or a proven Program Manager with a Sales or Marketing background, or a Senior Sales Operations person or a previous First Line Software Sales Manager wanting a change.

The North America Sales Strategy and Planning Consultant (Chief of Staff) will provide operational support for the North America CyberRes Sales Leader and his leadership team. In this role, you will partner closely with senior leaders to implement a comprehensive business strategy in support of North America CyberRes Sales focus on building pipeline and driving business growth.

The ideal candidate will be able to see the big picture matched with the ability to focus on details, so no initiatives slip through the cracks. This role will work in close partnership with the CyberRes North America functions, product specialist, sales engineering, sales, HR and Finance, to drive close coordination, consistent plans, measurement and cadence.


  • Drives fiscal year planning, strategy, and transformation objectives with the leadership team.
  • Serves as the Chief-of-Staff for the North America Sales Leader and the North America Sales senior leadership team.
  • Manages pipeline excellence center initiatives.
  • Collaborates with and achieves actionable results through others, builds strong and sustainable relationships and interacts with all levels of the organization.
  • Serves as an advisor to senior leadership to influence business planning and strategic direction of the business, including overall organizational practices, long-term goals, and operating models.
  • Develops clear, succinct, and compelling content for executive-level presentations and communications.
  • Removes obstacles and drives fundamental change to achieve efficiencies.
  • Sets business metrics, evaluates actual performance, and provides timely reporting to business leaders on performance target achievement.
  • Leads efforts to develop business and financial plans that enable the execution of business strategies. Owns the budget planning process and ongoing monthly financial reviews.
  • Deals with highly confidential information and acts as a liaison between the North America Sales Leader and other constituencies, both internal and external.

Education and Experience Required:

  • 7-10 years' experience in a diverse range of business functions in a high-tech environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS in related discipline preferred.
  • Proven track record of great execution relative to cost, quality, and timeliness.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, passion, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Approaches projects and tasks with tenacity and perseverance; works through obstacles in a determined manner.
  • Builds a strong internal and external network of personal relationships to identify issues and opportunities and provides positive, best-in-class perspectives to others (e.g., executive team.)
  • Demonstrates a vocal and confident style; readily voices thoughts and opinions and presents ideas with conviction, courage, and ability to tailor the message to diverse stakeholder and audience groups.
  • Serves as a thought partner, planning partner and execution partner, comfortable challenging received wisdom and builds compelling business cases for alternatives.
  • Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations.
  • Balances strategic thinking with tactical action to drive results.
  • Has strong business acumen and analytic capability.
  • Navigates with agility within a complex matrixed organizational structure.
