Job Description The role will be responsible for leading reengineering of data feeds (preferably moving them to aws) to achieve strong resiliency through simplification and elimination of single points of failure. Feeds should be reengineered for easy update and expansion and work seamlessly with BI tools. The role will also be responsible for leading development of front-end applications to access BI statistics. The role will provide important inputs to technology management and business partners in defining, developing, and implementing BI solutions that have impact on improving the business. On a day to day basis, here are some of the tasks the candidate can expect to undertake:
  • Drive the reengineering, evolution, and expansion of data feeds
  • Provide hands-on leadership in designing and implementing user facing applications exposing BI data
  • Lead development of Jenkins and possibly Terraform and Chef automation scripts
  • Work with the infrastructure team to eliminate single points of failure, and achieve 24/7 availability
  • Cooperate closely with the BI team in creating advanced analytics solutions
  • Lead root cause analysis of production incidents for BAS applications We need someone who:
    • Is a hands-on technologist comfortable in the details of design and delivery of complex, scalable and robust data feed solutions
    • Can design and maintain a robust SDLC process
    • Has extensive experience working closely with infrastructure teams for on-premise and cloud applications
    • Has extensive experience with modern user facing front end applciations
    • Proposes innovation and creativity in the delivery of all our solutions Qualifications
      • --Formal education in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (B.S. or M.S.)
      • Strong experience in on-premise and cloud hosting architectures
      • Strong hands-on development experience with distributed applications, RESTful services, authentication/authorization methodologies, and SQL databases
      • Experience with microservices and transforming legacy applications to the microservice architecture
      • Strong track record with individual accomplishments in designing and implementing hosting solutions
      • Knowledge and experience with versioning tools, continuous integration, and deployment automation
      • Experience in the Agile development lifecycle
      • Front office and/or financial services knowledge and experience
      • Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analysis for production incidents
