Mainframe Developer BC forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Mainframe Developer for an opportunity in Pennington, NJ/Charlotte, NC/Plano, TX ! Position Title: Mainframe Developer Location: Pennington, NJ/Charlotte, NC/Plano, TX Anticipated Start Date: 6/30/2025 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 6 months (potential extension) Job Type: Fulltime 40hr/week, Hybrid Pay Range: $49.44/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Requirements: Write and optimize MVS JCL and manage catalog procedures. Develop and maintain database solutions using DB2 for z/OS and related utilities. Build and support transaction processing systems using CICS Transaction Server. Integrate and manage messaging systems using WebSphere MQ. Job Description: Design, develop and maintain applications using industry standard tools and technologies. Write and optimize MVS JCL and manage catalog procedures. Develop and maintain database solutions using DB2 for z/OS and related utilities. Build and support transaction processing systems using CICS Transaction Server. Integrate and manage messaging systems using WebSphere MQ. Manage dataset and storage solutions using DFSMS Perform data sorting, merging and reporting using DFSORT Utilize TSO/ISPF dialog manager for interactive development and debugging. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high quality solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
