Job Description:
We have the following Network Administrator Perm opportunity
with full benefits: Title: Network Administrator Location:
Hauppauge, Long Island NY 11787 This is a full-time position which
will require both planned and unexpected off-hours support in
addition to the regular workday. Days and hours of work are Monday
through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional travel to other
of our facilities will be required. Base Salary, Bonus, Profit

Component. Outstanding team to work with. General Purpose This is a
staff position within the IT Department that is responsible for
general system and computer operations, ensuring that system and
network performance meets the demands of our company, maintaining
system and network security, and providing technical support to end
users as needed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
monitoring network security and performance, updating system
software and hardware, and maintaining physical / cloud
infrastructure. Although this position reports to the IT
Infrastructure Manager, the position will also take directions from
other senior members of the IT staff as appropriate. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and
responsibilities of the IT Network Administrator position include
but are not limited to: Provide excellent service to our employees
Daily administration of the network and server environment.
Identifying and resolving any problems that arise with computer
networks and systems. Maintain existing software and hardware and
upgrade any that have become obsolete. Monitor network performance,
troubleshoot issues, and deploy solutions. Place service calls with
third party vendors as appropriate Maintaining documentation of IT
infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures. Perform general
system computer operations as required including but not limited
to: Daily mainframe backup tape rotation Maintaining ERP system
user profiles Monitoring mainframe console messages Maintaining
inventory levels of IT related supplies as appropriate Learn new
technologies as the workload of the IT Department dictates
Qualifications The essential qualifications for the IT Network
Administrator position include but are not limited to: Minimum 6
years of work experience in a similar role Strong working knowledge
and understanding of computer and network systems, hardware and
software Outstanding working knowledge from an administration /
technical perspective of the following: Computers/servers VMware
M365 Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID Microsoft Operating
Systems and server software Network security and anti-virus tools
Solid technical understanding of the following: Network monitoring
tools Wireless access point configuration and setup Network
components (firewalls, switches, routers, etc.) Linux operating
system Exposure to an ERP system Outstanding problem solving and
analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness and desire to learn new technologies as the companies’
technology infrastructure evolves over time
