Job Description:

Seeking a Senior Modem software engineer with excellent Java/Kotlin programming skills and knowledge of NR 5G and LTE protocol stack.

Chipset modem parser development and logging interface development.

At least 2 years of experience in Java programming

Experience in Android or desktop application development is favored;

Experience in domain knowledge such as NR 5G, LTE, VoLTE and TCP/IP is preferred.

Experience with wireless networks, architecture and protocols is preferred.

Experience in Wireless modem logging, analysis, capturing and understanding of modem/application processor architectures.

Experience with protocol analyzers, test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT, MA and STT.

Experience in developing system performance, KPI measurement, and Parameter Analysis.

Roles and responsibilities:

Candidates will analyze 5G/LTE new feature requirement, design and develop 5G/LTE new feature analyzer using Java/Kotlin.

Candidate will work on either Android or windows/macOS application development.

Design, develop and optimize parser based on NR 5G and LTE protocol (ML1, LL1, RRC, RLC, MAC, PDCP and IP).

Candidates will add new logcode or new version of existing logcode according to document from vendor.

Candidates will develop decoder for LTE/5G RRC and NAS OTA messages.

NR 5G and LTE Job responsibilities: system level feature coding, developing/executing unit test strategies and test plans, field log analysis, troubleshooting/analyzing problems.

Optimizing system performance, improving the stability of the product, optimizing power consumption and supporting customers with product commercialization.

Candidates can expect to be responsible for coding and verifying physical layer and network protocol requirements for modem.
