Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and as a
member of a thriving team, you are a creative problem solver
responsible for the development and delivery of innovative people
solutions for key client groups. You support management in the
achievement of strategic objectives through providing consultative
support and delivering programs in all areas of strategic human
resources including compensation, performance management,
recruiting, workforce planning, organizational design, legal
aspects, employee relations and engagement. All activities should
increase engagement and revenues. OBJECTIVE STATEMENT You recognize
that innovative Human Resources means understanding business
imperatives and translating them into practical and sophisticated
solutions that drive tangible results. While you will operate at a
strategic level with senior leaders, you can move seamlessly to an
operational mode and turn ideas into action. PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partnering with leaders on a range of activities: Talent
acquisition, onboarding, leadership capability, performance
management, team efficiency and optimal organizational design.
- Utilizing people analytics and metrics to develop solutions
that address gaps and capitalize on opportunities.
- Supporting organizational resilience by developing the capacity
and readiness for change.
- Providing expert guidance and support on addressing performance
concerns/issues with the client group.
- Applying sophisticated knowledge of employment law and
exercising good judgement to effectively resolve employment
relations issues in partnership with leaders and legal
resources.
- Supporting workforce planning, recruiting and initiatives to
ensure that the short, medium and long-term needs of the business
are met
- Advising on performance and rewards planning process and
compensation activities during the year.
- Ensuring end-to-end HR service delivery by maintaining
partnerships across all People functions KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing
assignments, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously and
independently; excellent follow up and attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team
environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact
effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills, work ethic and attention to
detail.
- High level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite - Word,
Excel and PowerPoint.
- Competency with HRIS report writing and Payroll Systems
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years in a HR Business Partner Role
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be flexible to work in office 2-3 days per week,
especially in the first 6 - 9 months of employment.
- Commutable to Newark, NJ Three Gateway Center (connected to
Newark Penn Station.)
