Job Description:
Our client, a law firm in Newark, NJ seeks an HR
Coordinator.
The Human Resources Coordinator responsible for human resources
administrative responsibilities including work in our human
resources management system (HRMS).Essential Functions
- Coordinate Orientation and Onboarding;
- Administers background check for applicants;
- Assist in maintaining employee personnel files updated;
- Maintain and upkeep of outlook time off secretarial
calendar;
- Maintain ADP Time and Attendance daily entries, policies and
employee leave schedules;
- Archive HR files based on retention period. Maintain log of
files in storage;
- Provide Personnel Action Forms Notifications (PAN) forms for
new hires, departures and as needed ensuring proper approval. Help
to maintain and update PAN log;
- Ensures Employment Applications used are in compliance and
provides Employment Letters as required;
- Prepares excel report for exiting and year-end non-exempt PTO
days usage;
- Maintain and upkeep of Job Description folder;
- Participate in weekly HR meetings;
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities including HRMS webinars and Employment Law;
- Maintains Labor Posters for three locations including
regulation or legal updates;
- Maintains the Firm's Harassment Training schedules conducted
biennially.Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience;
- Prior HR experience
- ADP Workforce Now experience required
4 days a week in the office / 1 day remote
