The Sr. Customer Marketing Manager, C-Store plays a critical role
in Strategic Channel Planning to amplify the power of our brands in
market by building a strong retailer value proposition into
Marketing plans at every step, from planning to execution. As a
strategic partner to sales/marketing teams, the Sr. Customer
Marketing Manager develops a deep understanding of what it takes to
win in market, thinking "shelf-back" on how our brands will show up
in store and acting as the "voice of the customer" within the
organization. They work closely with cross functional partners and
sales teams to develop strong strategies and plans to enhance
execution across AMPS+, create compelling sales tools, and support
activation from sell-in through execution of the Mars everyday
confectionery portfolio. As a senior resource on the team, this
associate owns areas of high complexity and significant business
impact. In addition, they will be expected to take on visible
leadership responsibilities within the team.
What We are Looking For:
7+ years of Field Sales/Internal Sales/Marketing
Experience in Sales Planning & Operations, Account Management,
Marketing, and/or Category Management
Major customer experience
What Would Be Your Key Responsibilities?
---Develop brand/channel AMPS+ (assortment, merchandising, pricing,
shelving, and digital) strategies, along with tools and plans for
execution of those deliverables. Scope covers total everyday
business for the C-Store Channel
---Build strong annual Brand/Top Customer plans for coming years
through MCNA planning process, with key input throughout national
program development and the Ready to Sell process to ensure that
Sales has the tools needed to drive growth and that the business
has clear understanding of what Sales will deliver (e.g.,
distribution & volume forecasts)
---Enhance the Retailer Value Proposition (attractive margin,
category growth, retailer differentiation, ease of execution) of
Mars Wrigley's programs, using Customer feedback and after action
reviews to improve plans and seasons year on year
---Assist in planning, development and presentation of brand &
innovation selling materials at key Customer Collaboration Planning
sessions, ensuring our brand / innovation strategies are well
---Drive increased share of shelf via focus blockbuster,
innovation, and develop tools to enhance/support Sales execution of
key metrics and targets
---Take responsibility and move with speed to champion
channel/customer-specific requirements in planning and product
innovation process (right pack, right price to drive category
---Understand market performance and identify opportunities to
improve national promotions and future-year activities.
---Provide perspective on sales and customer thinking into 5 Year
---Own key functional/cross-portfolio initiatives, from development
of strategies & plans through implementation
---Identify opportunities to improve AMPS+ planning and activation
that cross channel teams and brands
