Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift
Description: At Saint Mary’s Hospital , our Medical
Surgical/Ortho-Neuro-Ortho Unit is a 27-bed unit specializing in
the care of adult patients with stroke, orthopedic, and neuro-spine
conditions. In addition to these specialties, nurses on this unit
care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical needs,
delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative and
supportive environment. This unit also utilizes a Virtual Nurse,
the Together Team Model , as part of our care team. The Virtual RN
brings a minimum of 7 years of experience and provides essential
support to bedside staff, including assistance with admissions,
discharges, patient education, purposeful rounding, and enhancing
team communication. What You Will Do: Deliver compassionate,
evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical
and surgical needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to
develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patient
progress, administer medications, and perform treatments in
accordance with hospital protocols. Educate patients and families
on post-operative care, rehabilitation, and recovery processes.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety
and quality standards. Minimum Qualifications: Required: Graduation
from an accredited nursing school Valid RN License in Connecticut
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing The ideal candidate will
have one or more years of medical-surgical or neuro/ortho in an
acute inpatient setting. BLS/CPR certification (American Heart
Association or American Red Cross) Position Highlights: Full Time:
36 hrs/week-Night Shift Rotating Every other Weekend/Holiday
