Newark, NJ, specializing in high-acuity cardiovascular surgical
care. This contract role involves working as a Registered Nurse in
the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with a focus on complex
cardiac and vascular procedures. The position offers a dynamic,
fast-paced environment utilizing state-of-the-art technology and a
multidisciplinary team approach. Location: Newark is a vibrant
urban center with rich cultural diversity and close proximity to
major metropolitan areas. The city provides a range of dining,
entertainment, and recreational options, along with convenient
transportation access to New York City and surrounding New Jersey
communities. Schedule: - Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 07:00
19:30 - Duration of contract: 13 weeks - On-call requirements
include 24-hour shifts on one weekend per month and two 8-hour
weekday shifts (3-11 or 11-7) - Must work designated holidays based
on unit needs Required Qualifications & Experience: - Active RN
license in NJ or Compact license at time of submission - Minimum of
2.5 years experience as a CVOR nurse with EPIC charting proficiency
- Current BLS certification - Proven expertise in cardiovascular
surgical procedures such as valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic
aneurysm repair, and vascular interventions including endovascular
and carotid surgeries - Comfortable floating to Main OR for
orthopedic, general, robotic, gynecologic, neuro, pediatric, and
vascular cases Responsibilities: - Deliver exceptional
perioperative nursing care in a high-volume CVOR setting -
Collaborate with specialized multidisciplinary teams for complex
cardiac and vascular surgeries - Utilize advanced technology in
hybrid OR suites to support cutting-edge surgical techniques -
Comply with hospital policies including call-off and scheduling
protocols Additional Information: - Scrubs are provided -
Preference given to candidates able to meet scheduling and RTO
requests promptly This role is ideal for experienced CVOR nurses
