Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pediatrics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Pediatric Registered Nurse (Hem/Onc) – New Jersey Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Newark, New Jersey Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 13-week contract, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), with floating to PICU and NICU as appropriate Highlights: - Work with diverse pediatric populations including general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, orthopedic, and surgical patients - Manageable patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts - EPIC charting system utilized - Opportunity to expand skill set through floating to specialty units including PICU and NICU - 31-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams - First-time travelers welcomed and supported Requirements: - Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission - Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience - General pediatrics experience required - Chemotherapy/Oncology experience required - BLS and PALS certifications required - APHON, NRP, and OCN certifications preferred - Experience with patient ratio of 1:5 - EPIC charting experience preferred - Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young patients and their families while working with a collaborative healthcare team.
