Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN – New Jersey Start Date:
January 26, 2026 Location: Newark, New Jersey Compensation: Details
provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 13-week assignment,
every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), variable shift patterns
Highlights: Primary assignment in a 19-bed Pediatric Intensive Care
Unit with critical cardiac patient population Patient ratios
typically 1:2, varying by acuity from 1:1 to 1:3 for step-down
patients Epic electronic medical records system utilized throughout
facility May float to Pediatrics and NICU based on appropriate
skill set and census needs Comprehensive interdisciplinary support
including RT, PT, pharmacy, radiology, and social services Advanced
critical care environment with full ventilator management,
telemetry monitoring, and Medtronic pacemaker experience
Requirements: Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license
required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of PICU critical
care experience required; 1 year cardiac experience strongly
preferred BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula,
and tracheostomy care required Telemetry monitoring and Medtronic
pacemaker experience required Epic charting system experience
required Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time
travelers not accepted Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
