Pediatric Emergency Department RN – New Jersey Start Date: January
26, 2026 Location: Newark, New Jersey Compensation: Details
provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36 hours per week,
13-week assignment, every other weekend required Highlights:
Dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department separate from Main ED
Patient ratio approximately 1:5 or higher depending on acuity and
census Opportunity to work with holding patients and potential
float to PICU and Pediatrics Part of a 73-bed Emergency Department
with pediatric and fast track services, plus a 19-bed rapid
decision unit First-time travelers accepted with appropriate
experience Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Requirements:
Active New Jersey state RN license or Compact license required at
time of submission Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
Previous Pediatric Emergency Department experience required BLS,
ACLS, and PALS certifications required Ventilator management
proficiency preferred PICU experience preferred Skills required
include central line care/management, interpretation of 12-lead EKG
and cardiac dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, and management of
patients with multisystem organ dysfunction Must be available to
work 2 of 3 holidays during assignment Willingness to float within
skillset to Pediatric holding and PICU as needed Why It's a Great
