every other weekend required, must be available 2 of 3 holidays
Highlights: Advanced cardiac stepdown unit specializing in heart
failure, transplant, LVAD, and pulmonary hypertension management
1:4 patient ratio based on acuity and staffing levels Level II
Trauma Center with teaching hospital environment Sophisticated
cardiac drip titration and critical monitoring experience required
Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
including rapid response teams 34-bed unit serving adult and
geriatric populations with complex medical needs Requirements:
Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of
submission Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
required Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I and
Teaching Hospital experience highly preferred ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
certifications required at time of submission Strong LVAD
management experience required (hard stop) Demonstrated competency
in titration of insulin drips and cardiac drips required Experience
with transplant patients (heart, lung, kidney) and post-operative
neurosurgical patients preferred Epic charting experience required
Must be available to float within skillset as needed Patient
Population & Key Skills: Heart failure, cardiac rhythm disorders,
LVAD, pulmonary hypertension, and transplant management
Trach/ventilated patients with multi-organ issues Neurologic
disorders including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord
injuries Drug ingestion and overdose requiring frequent monitoring
GI bleeding, acute liver failure, and ostomy care Pain management

approximately 18 hours of non-billable modules completed pre-start,
including 4 hours of Epic training Labs must be completed within 48
hours of signing Contract requires 14-day cancellation notice;
failure to provide proper notice may result in Do Not Return status
Clinicians must complete their final contract week as scheduled
