Range: $47.85 — $64.04 per hour Pay Transparency: The above
reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if
hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the
candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors,
including the candidate's educational background, skills and
professional experience. Job Overview: As a Cardiac Catheter Lab
Registered Nurse (CCL RN), you will assist physicians and allied
healthcare staff in performing a variety of diagnostic and
interventional cardiac/endovascular, EP, Vascular and structural
procedures. You will utilize knowledge of pathophysiology to ensure
patients are prepared/educated/supported during procedures, whether
monitoring, circulating, or assisting with scrub procedures. As a
Per Diem Cardiac Cath. Lab Registered Nurse, you will be
responsible for TEE, CV, tilt table tests, ILR procedures, as well
as pre- and post-care of patients, including admissions, discharges
and transfers. Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) Catheter
Lab specializes in cardiac catheter, vascular, neurovascular
(stroke) and structural heart procedures, as well as
electrophysiology. Procedures performed in the Cath lab include the
following: left and right heart catheterizations along with
percutaneous intervention as necessary, intracoronary ultrasound,
rotational atherectomy, balloon pump insertion, Impella insertion,
left atrial appendage closure, catheter-directed thrombolysis for
pulmonary embolization, structural procedures (TAVR, Mitra Clip),
neurovascular cerebral angiograms, stroke treatment, carotid
stenting, treatment of cerebral aneurysms with coiling and pipeline
interventions, peripheral and renal angiograms with intervention as
necessary, Watchmen, CardioMEMs, and Electrophysiology (cardiac
devices, ablations, PVI’s, laser lead extractions). Qualifications:
Cath Lab experience is strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of
critical care experience is required. Telemetry experience
required. Strong critical thinking/assessment skills. Must be I.V.
certified from an approved facility or complete the requirements
for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to the unit.
Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas
Medical Center. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
Certifications and Licenses Required: Current and active New Jersey
RN licensure is required. Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree
in Nursing American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Certification (BLS) upon hire American Heart Association Advanced
Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) upon hire Scheduling
Requirements: Day Shift 8A-9P On Call Required Essential Functions
: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care
system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice
Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical
standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The
Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the
principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization
of their own individual level of knowledge and experience and
assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others
in the patient care team by communication with and utilizing
resource persons and programs available. The Registered Nurse is
responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as
hazardous environments (i.e., damaged floors/walls/ceiling
tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors. The Registered Nurse is
responsible for knowledge of the patient population served. The
Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the
delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates
with other patient care providers. The Registered Nurse is
responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities
through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward
improvement. The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and
the interdisciplinary team manager, who utilizes the nursing
process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and
individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s
