DescriptionClinical Manager-Wound Care Ostomy Continence Nurse -
Full Time-Day-Mount Sinai QueensThe licensed Clinical Manager is
responsible for management and oversight of all clinical
activities, including but not limited to: policy and program
development, program accreditation, financial issues, staff
training and may include direct patient care/clinical duties
including patient assessment, testing, patient education, advocacy,
financial coordination, management of patient emergencies, and
following up with patients during an admission visit as well as
pre/post hospitalization.Responsibilities
- Manages clinical activities and program development for
assigned department or program.
- Manages resources through interdisciplinary collaboration to
achieve optimal patient outcomes. Conducts care management
assessments to determine barriers to self-care.
- Facilitates resolution on patient billing /insurance
issues.
- Clinical duties to include patient assessments, testing,
program development, emergency management, and oversight of
treatment sessions.
- Oversees all matters related to documentation (EPIC),
scheduling and billing (IDX) and related correction and
follow-up.
- Facilitates resolution of patient complaints/grievances in a
timely manner with appropriate parties.
- Responsible for management of staff education and monitoring of
staff credentialing, certification renewal and related
matters.
- Serves as a resource and educator to patients and
caregivers.
- May engage in periodic chart review and rounding.
- Participates in or initiates special projects.Qualifications
- EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Graduate of accredited Wound, Ostomy, Continence Educational
Program or equivalent
- EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3+ years of clinical experience with 1 year of management and
supervisory experience preferred.
- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Current NY State Registered Nurse License and Registration
- Certified or eligible for certification by recognized specialty
organization
- Board Certified as a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Specialist or

provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on
Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the
role is $78884 - $118326 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a
variety of factors, including experience, education, and
operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does
not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of
compensation or benefits.
