Our supportive housing combines affordable housing with services to help people maintain their homes long-term, recognized as an effective solution to chronic homelessness.
Beyond housing, our programs assist those experiencing street homelessness, especially long-term street residents, through outreach and transitional housing, guiding them toward permanent housing.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Programs, Scatter Site, the Assistant Director supports clinical operations for the Scatter Site program. Responsibilities include managing Clinical Coordinators, overseeing apartment leasing and maintenance, and maintaining partnerships with landlords, community leaders, outreach, and transitional staff. The role emphasizes Harm Reduction and Housing First strategies, implementing best practices for case management teams.
Work Schedule
Primarily Monday-Friday during business hours, with availability for emergencies or special projects outside regular hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise Clinical Coordinators and support case management teams.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings.
  • Promote effective case management and housing placement strategies using Housing First, Harm Reduction, CPI, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
  • Oversee development and documentation of individual service plans.
  • Conduct case conferences and coordinate care with service providers.
  • Support staff in managing difficult situations and conflict de-escalation.
  • Guide incident management, crisis interventions, and risk assessments, ensuring timely documentation.
  • Foster a culture emphasizing housing placement success and retention.
  • Engage with external partners, government, community stakeholders, hospitals, and agencies for service planning and operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work with an active LMSW license, to be obtained within six months; LCSW preferred.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with 24/7 programs and homeless populations preferred.
  • Strong clinical understanding of Housing First, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and health systems.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, risk assessments, and incident management.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven success in fast-paced, priority-rich environments.
  • Leadership skills to delegate and motivate staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with databases and learning new programs.
