bring to CHANEL. About the role: This role will develop and lead a
centralized employee relations function in the US. Identify and
address issues impacting the employee experience during critical
moments in the employee life cycle such as workplace
accommodations, and workplace concerns relating to EEOC
allegations, workplace threats, safety, etc. This role will lead
investigations and will be responsible for establishing process,
procedures, and training to support P&O team members to lead ER
investigations with consistency and compliance. This role will
identify trends to help inform programming targeted toward the
P&O community as well as subsets of the employee population.
The Sr. GD, Employee Relations will partner closely with business
leaders, Employment Legal, HR Business Partners, and COE partners
such as People Development and D&I, as well as other functions
within the People & Organization team. This role reports to the
Head of People & Organization - US Corporate Functions & Employee
Relations What impact you can create at CHANEL: Research and
respond to employee relations matters across the retail and
corporate environment.Conduct timely, objective, and thorough
internal investigations including but not limited to allegations of
harassment, discrimination, accommodation, and retaliation and
prepare all required documentation.Initiate a proactive, strategic
approach to employee relations by identifying and analyzing ER
data/metrics for themes, trends, and root cause identification.
Share findings with key partners in order to develop and deliver an
integrated plan that links to organization and people
strategies.Train leadership on topics related to creating an
optimal working relationship with employees. Deliver site-specific
action plans and follow up.Direct connection to D&I leadership
on relevant aspects of trainingProvide strategies for managing
supervisor concerns and employee grievances. Lead/support the
implementation of a "faculty" of employee relations investigators
from within the P&O team to support heightened volumes of
investigations. Will create a "dispatch" system for ER cases.
Provide guidance to leaders to support appropriate resolution of
concerns.Partner with Legal to understand and connect local and
federal law changes, and rulings that have potential impact to the
Brand. Partner with appropriate areas, including HRBP, loss
prevention, audit, customer care, and any other area that would
aide in closure of investigation. Work with partners across the
organization to drive positive employee relations.Bring awareness
to and champion communication channels meant to obtain employee
perspectives.Work with HRGs to implement action plans focused on
addressing opportunities identified through review of employee
relations trends.Create and implement training focused on improving
overall understanding of employee relations issues.Partner with
D&I leadership on relevant training opportunities to support
positive ER outcomes.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you will bring to the team: Ability to translate data and
predictive analytics into proactive actions for the organization to
prevent or preempt unfavorable employee experience trends. Discreet
and Maintains Confidentiality as they would also handle HR ER
Trustworthiness and ability to learn or accelerate their ER skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including high EQ, great
communication skills (written and oral), and ability to build trust
and influence at all levels of an organization. Experience
diffusing tension and effectively mediating conflict Excellent
skills and attention to detail, able to juggle and prioritize
multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering on commitments.
Presentation and training design and facilitation experienceAbility
to handle highly sensitive and confidential situations with
objectivity.Broad knowledge of employee relations, complex
workplace investigations, federal and state laws / regulations
(including but not limited to Title VII, ADA, ADAAA and FMLA
Position Logistics: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience,
focused on employee relations,Will have BS/BA degree, Master's
degree a plus.Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of
three-days in-person office presence in the New York office.
Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position
is $166,000 to $215,000. Base salary is one component of the total
compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay
[may/will] be offered for this position. Other components
[may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
