Position Summary

PMA has an immediate opening for a Civil Project Manager to manage a portfolio of high-profile airfield and underground infrastructure projects at Newark Liberty International Airport. Responsibilities encompass overall procurement and construction management as well as key stakeholder coordination activities. These include coordinating design reviews, negotiating change orders, schedule monitoring and reporting, risk management, oversight of construction work, preparing progress reports and presentations for senior management, and performing other duties required to support the client. The successful candidate for this full-time role will work most days on-site at the airport.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive project management experience required.
  • Paving and/or underground utility construction experience preferred.
  • Aviation project experience preferred.
  • PANYNJ experience a plus.
  • Experience in all levels of the project life cycle, including design review, procurement, proposal development, scheduling, cost controls, risk analysis, and change orders is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience in collaborating on project issues and working independently with minimal direction required.

    Additional Requirements

    Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.

    Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
