The Corporate Strategy team partners directly with the CEO,
Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members, and Business Presidents to
help solve the most important and complex questions and challenges
facing Prudential. The team focuses on enterprise-level issues,
including strategy, business development, resource allocation, and
growth initiatives.
The individual in this role will report directly to the Head of
Business Development and will partner with Business Leaders, BU
Strategists, Finance, Treasury, Corporate Development, and the
broader Corporate Strategy team to support various projects and
initiatives.
The individual in this role will be a senior member of the
Corporate Strategy team focused on the support of Business
Development efforts. Leveraging their internal and external
experience and network, the individual in this role will be
encouraged to bring new ideas, make connections, and create
relevance with our current and potential partners.
Responsibilities:
Work with Businesses and Corporate Development to scope out range
of potential development ideas and build models to analyze impact
to Prudential
Develop presentations for delivery to ELT covering growth options
and implications
Identify important relations to develop on path towards future
development ideas
Develop and maintain relationships with external constituencies to
source transactional opportunities and market insights
Conduct deep dive analysis of relevant competitors across actuarial
finance and product issues
Monitor market developments to identify trends to influence
strategy or specific desired transactions
Understand Prudential specific constraints and develop approaches
to optimize on relative basis
Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience with requisite
competencies in corporate finance, business development, financial
modeling, presentations, reinsurance, and ALM
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for both
internal and external audiences.
Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and influencing
skills.
Project-oriented and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
and responsibilities.
Creative and strategic thinking that inspires action by identifying
and connecting opportunities, seeing gaps, and finding points of
connectivity across the enterprise.
Demonstrates courage to act as a disruptor, challenge and push
thinking toward better outcomes
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the
salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable
locations. The salary range for this role is from $218,000.00 to
$295,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the
above range based on many factors including geographic location,
candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for
additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate
in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules
governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various
factors including, without limitation, individual and
organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for
standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental
and retirement.
