The strategy management function works closely with the Head of Prudential International Insurance (PII), PII's Chief Operating Officer and the PII Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will help define and articulate business portfolio strategy with the PII SLT for key decision making forums to the Executive Leadership Teams, Board and Investors and drive the annual strategic planning process and work closely with other key stakeholders (Financial Management, HR, Control partners etc.). The role will also support oversight and execution of key workstreams of enterprise strategy initiatives, business development efforts and other large / complex programs.


Key Responsibilities:


Portfolio Strategic Planning:

--- Support strategic planning process, including interdependencies between business and functions with coordination of priorities

--- Work alongside the VP of Strategic Initiatives in supporting strategy initiatives, and implications (budget considerations, resource allocations)

--- Support the development of materials for senior executive audiences (Board, ELT, PII SLT, Investors/Rating Agencies)

--- Support decision making and problem solving based on analytics


Business Development Efforts:

--- Support key initiatives along the business development spectrum (support identification and screening, deal process, and integration) that are aligned with PII's growth strategy


Thought Leadership & Advisory:

--- Support PII SLT-level discussions regarding key business and strategic decisions by leveraging quantitative/qualitative analysis and data analytics to frame and analyze complex problems

--- Assess areas of opportunity in line with overall vision and strategy

--- Support the development of pragmatic solutions to key strategic and operational issues

--- Support additional team responsibilities with respect to macro trends research, competitive intelligence, and investors reports


Project Leadership:

--- Participate in the execution of key enterprise initiatives by forming collaborative partnerships with colleagues in the business and functions

--- Approach projects holistically with a focus on end-to-end delivery solutions


Qualifications:

--- Bachelor's degree required; MBA and / or CFA preferred

--- 5+ years with relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting or investment banking/corporate development roles in the Financial Services or Insurance industry

--- Excellent analytic skills and pragmatic problem-solving capabilities

--- Strong communications (both written and verbal in the English language) and passion to effect change across the organization including senior levels

--- Successful track record of leading projects with a demonstrated ability to flex between strategy and tactic

--- Excellent data management and Microsoft suite skill set

--- English language proficiency (both written and verbal) required


Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $86,300.00 to $128,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
