and our teams.Job Summary:The business unit Supply Chain Manager
role reporting to the Global Director Supply Chain Management is a
key operational role focused on managing supply chain elements and
optimization to deliver the business unit's goals. This role is
responsible for developing site supply chain objectives, goals,
actions, and processes targeted to efficiently manage the supply
planning execution for a global business unit. The role will
support and manage the plant supply chain site teams to ensure
efficient daily execution of planning/schedule to meeting customer
service expectations and inventory investment by helping each team
optimize the overall site schedules to balance the customer demand
and supply capabilities of the sites. The supply chain manager will
support and drive the ongoing execution of accurate SAP planning
data, focus on leaning out supply chain process and support the
identification and completion of specific supply chain projects to
drive continuous improvement. The position is responsible for
partnering with various levels within the organization at each site
to ensure the timely development of the overall supply plan for
discussion and use in the Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning
(SI&OP) process. Responsibilities:Role Specific
Responsibilities:
- Manages or Leads the SI&OP Process to ensure tight
coordination between the demand and supply planners. Partners with
functional leaders and others to develop policies, levels and lead
times for various product lines.
- Leads the SI&OP executive meetings.
- Ensures a high level of planning/scheduling execution to meet
the overall service and execution requirement of the business
markets and customers.
- Delivers on the established inventory targets for the overall
business unit and cascades targets down to the individual plant
sites based on the site capabilities and service objectives of the
business group.
- Works with each site to propose actions for the appropriate
disposition of slow moving and blocked inventory with the
commercial and manufacturing teams.
- Monitors sales forecasts vs. actual sales, inventory levels and
production schedules for deviation from plan initiatives, develops
corrective action plans and projects to improve execution,
reporting and communication.
- Identifies, defines and coordinates improvement projects to the
supply chain processes and performance metrics, incorporating lean
techniques into enhancing the end-to-end supply chain performance.
Ultimately, balancing the process optimization for cost and
capacity utilization with customer service at the business
level.
- Functional SAP user expert with the ability to train new
resources and with the ability to support a site when a master
planner is out of the office.
- Act as the point person for implementing SAP system
enhancements and new functionality within the business
- Collaborate with the sites and other Business unit supply chain
managers to work with the site SCM teams to implement best
practices
- Monitor and report key performance indicators, initiate
improvement actions
- Focal point for new product introduction for the business
unit
- Travel to sites where applicable to coach/mentor the team
members, support projects in line with business and team goals.

or guidance Qualifications/Desired Skills:Education and
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required (Logistics, Supply Chain,
Engineering or related fields is preferred) Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience providing master scheduling,
supply chain or logistics operations within a global chemical
manufacturing environment
- Experience with international logistics
- Demonstrated deep analytical skills and use of spreadsheets and
report generation
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build teamwork to
accomplish business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and
opportunities and to implement effective improvements and control
plans
- Demonstrated ability to use influence to obtain business
results
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter.
- Working knowledge of an MRPII (SAP or equivalent) system.
- Professional qualification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to
changing business needs and priorities
- Ability to work within a multi-functional, global
organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal
skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced

- Proficient in Microsoft office applications such as Excel,
Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
