KS Engineers PC (KSE) is a premier civil engineering design and
inspection services and construction materials testing company in
NJ and NY Metro Area. We are a minority owned business enterprise
(MBE) providing variety of services in the civil engineering field
including geotechnical design, inspection and testing of materials
including soil, rock and concrete. KSE is currently looking for a
Geotechnical Department Manager for their Newark, NJ
location.RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop proposals involving field
testing and data collection requirements.Work/Interact with other
KSE discipline/office team members, clients, contractors, and
equipment vendors.Take an active role in business development.
Perform/review geotechnical analyses and calculations and assist
with drawings, specifications, and cost-estimate
preparation.Perform/train others to carry out geotechnical field
investigations and construction observations.Perform technical
research in developing solutions to engineering problems including
geotechnical evaluations to prepare calculation documents. Prepare
and/or review detailed geotechnical reports; technical reports,
memos, field/lab testing results.Prepare and/or review/respond to
RFIs, make recommendations, and convey engineering
solutions/recommendations.Assign work to other department staff and
keep them billable.POSITION REQUIREMENTSA Geotechnical Department
Manager must
be detailed oriented with good
analytical skills, have excellent oral and written communication
skills, have solution-oriented knowledge and a collaborative
attitude, be willing to work closely with our engineers and project
managers to coordinate various field services,have practical
knowledge of science and engineering, have good knowledge of the
subject and usage of computer and relevant software.Knowledge of
basic software tools including Microsoft Office Suite and
AutoCADKnowledge of basic lab and field equipment for making
evaluations of soil conditionsQUALIFICATIONS
Masters/PhD in Geotechnical
Engineering Legal authorization to work in the United
StatesInsurable driving recordMinimum of 10+ years of experiencePE
