Our Role:



PGIM Investments business is seeking a Senior Java Manager with ability to think strategically and tactically utilizing their significant practical hands-on experience, to build state of the art solutions that drive positive business outcomes. The Senior Java Manager will assist with evaluation of new solutions, and technologies including hands-on proof of concepts (POCs) collaborating with business stakeholders, vendor resource, and technology groups within and outside of PGIM Investments.



The candidate will be responsible to work with Business stakeholders, Scrum Masters, DevOps, Backend and Architecture teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects. The candidate will design, create, test, and deploy solutions across multiple technology domains. The candidate will also manage a team of 4 or more people, provide guidance, solution, and oversight.

Your Required Skills:



* Provide technical expertise to support the strategic initiatives across organization

* Engaging in conversations with business partners (External, Internal wholesalers) to identify requirements, needs and gaps aimed at technology driven transformation

* Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge of the technology platform, including technical and functional capabilities; ability to execute on highly complex or specialized projects.

* Review and advise on platform solutions to ensure they comply with leading architecture and development practices, align to internal integration patterns and practices, align to internal security and compliance needs, and adhere to program architecture guiding principles.

* Lead and support proof of concepts and test and learn activities

* Manage team of four or more members

Qualifications:



* Must possess an undergraduate or graduate level degree

* Understanding of software quality development and implementation, software inspection, testing, verification and validation, and software development and maintenance processes and methods

* 10+ years of experience in J2EE technologies along with strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL

* 10+ years' experience in Java/JEE-Code coverage/analysis

* 10+ years of experience with database design and development using Microsoft SQL server 2016, including SSRS

* 10+ years' experience with Oracle PL/SQL Database Development

* 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Application Integration-IBM WebSphere

* 8+ years of experience with development using Microsoft .NET technologies including .NET (Core or MVC framework) and C# is a plus not required

* Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript

* Experience with TFS, GIT, JIRA

* jQuery and Java Script skills

* HTML5 and CSS experience

* Experience with Angular and Node JS

* Experience with Agile Development methodologies

* Working experience with bootstrap

* Debugging and resolving web applications

* Hands on knowledge with Rest API and web Services based on development

* Experience troubleshooting and resolving data, system, and performance issues

* Superb communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

* Experience with Cloud computing concepts (private, public and hybrid) a plus

* Experience with Tableau a plus

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

* Financial Services experience preferred

* Knowledge of Mutual Funds business a plus

* Professional appearance and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and tactful manner

* Ambition to learn and utilize emerging technologies while working in a stimulating team environment

* Proven ability to learn and adapt to change quickly and easily

* Experience delivering business capabilities for Investment Industry plus

* Prior experience with enterprise integration applications or techniques a plus

The salary range for this role is from $115,000 to $$165,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.



Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.



Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement
