Summary
The Sr. Director, Learning Strategy is responsible for the creation of learning strategies to support life science training professionals in the development and onboarding of commercial field teams. This includes, but is not limited to, field sales, managed markets, and access and reimbursement, medical science liaisons. Co-leads the structural and operational buildout of an evolving training offering of commercial learning and development services to life science customers. This L&D leader supports a cross-functional team across multiple service lines that offer different aspects of training content and delivery modalities. In addition to the internal oversight required to advance Precision's training offerings, the Sr. Director will also support client engagement by analyzing client needs, engaging in business development opportunities, instructional design and content development support.
Essential Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Liaises with business leaders to evaluate the quality of existing training content and process to refine a PV&H-wide approach to L&D execution and delivery
  • Identify and development of best practices for cross-functional and individual team strategic planning, execution, and metrics evaluation
  • Supports strategic innovation with special consideration for new and emerging technologies, innovative modalities, and best practices for adult learning engagement
  • Partners effectively with client account leads to translate the strategic, marketing, and educational objectives of our clients into compelling programs
  • Evaluates P&L inputs such as sales bookings, revenue, gross margin, team utilization, and other leading indicators for the business outcomes related to our L&D offerings, across multiple PV&H teams
  • Actively pitches with BD teams and supports new business opportunities by maintaining a deep understanding of program offerings
  • Provides feedback/direction to ensure that content adheres to sound instructional design, adult learning principles, and adheres to the established PVH Training standards
  • Assesses resource needs and outline capacity to realize projects' goals
  • Maintains constant knowledge of current, upcoming projects, and business development activities as they relate to resourcing
  • Participates in new business development presentations and pitches
  • Supports cross functional team in RFP submission process
  • Designs and propose sales training solutions in support of cross functional team that are instructionally effective and meet client needs
    Minimum Required
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 10-15 yrs. relevant work experience within the training space. Agency or pharmaceutical/medical device
    • Minimum 4 years' experience in instructional design and adult learning principles
    • Direct and matrixed team management experience (direct leadership of 2 or more employees in the L&D function)
    • Minimum 5 years' experience working cross functionally with various departments
    • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups
    • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
      Other Required
      • Familiarity with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and compatibility options for development of client assets
      • Experience working within a matrixed, high-growth environment
      • Demonstrated record of building effective learning experiences
      • Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
      • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Excel and Visio
      • Limited travel to other locations expected (up to 15%)
        Preferred
        • Degree in Instructional Design or other relevant discipline
        • Client Services/Client Facing experience
